Glide

Build custom business apps from spreadsheets — no code required.

4.0 (5 reviews)
Glide is a no-code platform that transforms spreadsheet data into polished, mobile-first business applications. It connects to Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, and SQL databases, allowing users to create apps for internal workflows, customer engagement, data collection, and field operations without any programming knowledge. Glide's design philosophy centers on making app creation as intuitive as working with a spreadsheet. Users connect a data source, and Glide automatically generates a basic app layout that can be customized through a visual editor. The platform provides a library of components including lists, detail views, forms, charts, buttons, and rich text blocks. Computed columns allow users to define calculated fields, lookups, and conditional logic directly within the Glide data editor, extending the capabilities beyond what the source spreadsheet provides. Actions can be chained together to create multi-step workflows triggered by button clicks, form submissions, or data changes. Glide's AI features can suggest app layouts and component configurations based on the connected data structure, speeding up the initial app creation process. Glide is best suited for small business owners, operations managers, and team leads who need custom business applications but do not have development resources. Typical use cases include field service apps for mobile workers, inventory management tools, employee directories, project trackers, customer-facing order portals, and event check-in applications. The mobile-first design approach makes it particularly well-suited for applications that will primarily be used on phones and tablets, such as by sales teams in the field or warehouse workers managing inventory. Glide offers a free tier that supports basic apps with limited rows and users, making it possible to test the platform before committing financially. The Maker plan starts at $60 per month per app and increases the row limit and number of users. The Team plan at $125 per month per app adds features like custom branding, app analytics, and priority support. Enterprise pricing is available for organizations that need advanced security, SSO, and dedicated infrastructure. Teams should evaluate whether their application needs will outgrow the inherent limitations of a spreadsheet-backed data model, as more complex applications with relational data and heavy concurrent usage may require a more traditional development approach.

Decent but not the best in class. Glide gets the job done for rapid prototyping but I've seen competitors handle custom logic limitations better. Still, worth trying.

Really happy with my switch to Glide. The deployment is exactly what I was looking for. Minor UI quirks aside, this is a top-tier tool.

Good tool with room to grow. Glide handles the basics really well and I use it daily. Would love to see better support for version control in future updates.

Pretty good. Glide does 80% of what I need it to do very well. The remaining 20% is where competitors might edge it out but for the price, no complaints.
